Additional Adapters
The Upgrade Manager detects additional LDAP adapters that are configured on the source system and displays them in this tab. Each adapter is listed with the following available options:
JNDI Adapter(s)

Description
Additional Adapter Name
This field is auto-populated with the adapter name on the source system, you cannot edit this field.
Copy to Target System
Select Yes to copy the adapter from the source system to the target system. If you select No, the adapter will not be copied and must be manually recreated on the target system.
Bind DN
Type the Bind DN information required to authenticate against the directory server to which this adapter is configured. This field is only available to edit if you selected Yes to Copy to Target System for this adapter.
Bind Password
Type the Bind password information required to authenticate against the directory server to which this adapter is configured. This field is available to edit only if you selected Yes to Copy to Target System for this adapter.
For each JNDI Adapter that is copied to the target system, the following configurations are automated:
The JNDI adapter is created and configured on the target system.
A repository definition is created (if one exists on the source system) that informs Windchill how to query and manage information in the directory.
The wt.properties file is modified to identify the directory in Windchill.
The MapCredentials.xml file is modified to set administrative access control privileges for the directory.
The PTC HTTP Server configuration must be updated post-upgrade to configure the Web Server to authenticate against the search base of the additional JNDI adapters. For more information, see Post-Upgrade Steps for Additional JNDI Adapters.
