Benefit
A parts list cannot be automatically updated by unauthorized users. The Update Parts List action can only be carried out in certain proscribed circumstances.
Additional Details
Two types of control have been implemented for the Update Parts List action:
• A parts list can only be updated by users who are authorized to modify it
• When a parts list is at a particular lifecycle state, for example Released, the Update Parts List action revises the parts list before updating it
