When Upgrading From a Prior Release of Windchill
Upgrading from a prior release of Windchill is when you are upgrading from Windchill 9.x, 10.0, or 10.1 to the current release of Windchill 10.2.
A Windchill upgrade is performed using the bundled PTC Solution Installer (PSI). The PSI installer is a dynamic installer that offers different installation options based on the products and features you select.
*
Windchill server core software and optional products installations cannot be installed or upgraded outside of PSI installer.
The latest instructions for the PSI installer are contained in the following guides available from the Reference Documents link on the PTC Support page at URL: http://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/doc/refdoc.jsp.
