License Usage Reporting Utility for PDM Essentials and Pro/INTRALINK
*
The License Usage Reporting utility is available for Pro/INTRALINK and Windchill PDM Essentials only. For Windchill Arbortext Content Manager, Windchill PDMLink, and Windchill ProjectLink , see Usage and License Reporting Utility for PDMLink, ProjectLink, and Arbortext Content Manager.
The License Usage Reporting link is available only from the Site > Utilities page. Site administrators can view and distribute license usage reports for Pro/INTRALINK and Windchill PDM Essentials. The content can also be exported to a file. This feature only reports the actual usage, and does not provide a mechanism for preventing more users than are licensed from logging on.
Pro/INTRALINK 9.1 software licenses are purchased on a concurrent user basis. The License Usage Reporting utility provides a way for administrators to view the peak number of concurrent users during a usage period, and whether or not that usage is in compliance with the number of purchased licenses. The term concurrent users is defined as the total number of users accessing the Pro/INTRALINK 9.1 system at any given time.
A site is considered compliant if, during a given month, the number of concurrent Pro/INTRALINK 9.1 users does not exceed the number of purchased licenses.
A user login is captured as an event. When a session is initiated, an event captures the session's user and the total number of users in the system. The session is terminated after 30 minutes of inactivity (this is a site configurable value).
