Adding, Removing, or Copying Available Assemblies
The first step in using the Advanced Assembly Editor is to locate and select assemblies for product structure editing. The selected parts appear in the Available Assemblies pane on the left side of the Advanced Assembly Editor window. They also appear in columns in theAssembly Editor pane on the right.
Adding an Assembly to the Available Assemblies Pane
To search for assemblies click the add assemblies to list icon . Use the search window to find and select assembly parts. Parts that have been copied to the clipboard from other locations may also be added to the Available Assemblies pane using the paste from clipboard icon or the select parts to paste icon .
Removing an Assembly from the Available Assemblies Pane
To remove assemblies from the Available Assemblies pane, highlight one or more rows and click the remove assemblies from list icon . The parts are removed from both the left and right side of the Advanced Assembly Editor.
Copying an Assembly from the Available Assemblies Pane to the Clipboard
It is sometimes desirable to copy an available assembly to the clipboard so that it can be used to create other objects. Select an assembly in the Available Assemblies pane, right-click, and select Copy from the menu. The parts are copied to the clipboard but are not removed from the Available Assemblies pane.
