Creating and Publishing Occurrence Attributes
You can create occurrence attributes in Windchill to publish and share various information about your PCB designs. For example, if your design.csv files include layer information, you can create a LAYER occurrence attribute to publish this information to Windchill.
To display PCB layer information in Windchill:
2. In the Type Manager, create a new attribute called LAYER.
3. Assign this attribute to Soft Types — Uses Occurrence Attributes, Part Uses Occurrence and Workgroup Manager Model Item Uses Link in Type Manager.
4. Navigate to > > > and set the value for the preference Attributes to be published on Occurence to *.
5. In your authoring application, create a new board or schematic design.
|
The BOM definition must contain mapping attribute columns as Name, Number, Reference Designator, LAYER; and those must be mapped with Package Name, Package Number, Reference Designator and LAYER respectively.

7. Perform an
ECAD Check In action and use the
New BOM option. For more information, see
ECAD Check In.
8. Navigate to the Info page for the assembly model item and select the Structure tab.
9. On the Structure page, select the Occurrence tab and add a Symbol column to the table view.
Values for the design layers display in this column.
