The PTC Zuken PDM Adapter is used in order to ensure that the correct board-related and schematic-related design files are zipped and stored in Windchill.

The list of Zuken design files is determined by the Zuken API which passes the list to the PTC Zuken PDM Adapter. The Adapter in turn zips these files and sends them to Windchill. This ensures that the layout and the schematic data are properly separated and in a way that is consistent with how the Zuken tools expect to find them.

PTC Zuken PDM Adapter is disabled by default. You can manually enable PTC Zuken PDM Adapter using the preference Use PTC Zuken PDM Adapter (ecad.use.zpa=Yes).
