Authoring application parameters must use identical syntax to its comparable Windchill attributes, or an error occurs on upload. To prevent errors that may occur when the user manually tries to keep the values for Windchill, for example, model number and name of their CAD models, in sync with the standard attributes, the system provides the ability to map a Windchill system attribute to an authoring application parameter.
