Viewing Interferences
You can inspect the interference details by viewing information on the thumbnail or in the columns. Columns with comparative information can be sorted by different categories of that column. When sorting a column, all instances of the column are sorted, except for Common Parent Level, Assignee, Assigned Interferences, Precision, and Identity, in which case one page of results is sorted at a time.

The number of rows in a page is set in yourTables > Size Limit preference (default value is 2000).

Inspect and sort the following columns for analysis of interferences:
The Status of Interferences

The Status column shows the status of the interference compared to previous runs of the IDD.
An interference that has been resolved does not appear in the new report.
When an interference report from a shared IDD is opened, the status of an interference updates according to the status of the interference in other reports of other IDD’s of the same share.
For non-Shared IDD’s, if the latest report is deleted, the status attributes are not reverted, so the information may not be correct.
New —The interference was not previously detected.
Existing, no icon—The interference was previously detected.
Modified —The relative location and one or both of the interfering parts have changed.
Modified part —One or both of the interfering parts have been changed.
Modified location —The relative location between the two interfering parts has changed.
New Interference —The interference was not previously detected and is found in the latest interference analysis.
Existing and found in latest interference analysis—The interference was previously detected and is found in the latest interference analysis.
Modified and found in latest interference analysis—The relative location and one or both of the interfering parts have changed and the interference is found in the latest interference analysis.
Modified Part and found in latest interference analysis— One or both of the interfering parts have been changed and the interference is found in the latest interference analysis.
Modified Location and found in latest interference analysis—The relative location between the two interfering parts has changed and the interference is found in the latest interference analysis.

Change Status
indicates that an interference is associated to a change process.

Interference Type
Type of interference detected.
Clearance
Contact

Precision
Mode of interference calculation.
Accurate precision mode displays no symbol.
Approximate precision is indicated by ~.
ID
Identifies the number of the object.
Report
Displays the name of the report in which the interference is found in Related Interferences and Assigned Interferences tables.
This column does not appear in the default view. You can activate it in the Customize View List window.
Name
A unique number that identifies an interference. It is an identifier for a given interference and is constant in all contexts of interference tables, for instance, if it is added to a change report.

Interferences created before Windchill 11.0 do not have this name attribute.
Volume
Volume of the penetration detected in cubic units.
If the interference volumes are not calculated, Unavailable is displayed. This occurs if Approximate mode is set to not calculate volumes and in some cases of Accurate mode where volumes cannot be calculated.

In cases of Contacts and Clearances this field remains blank as volume is not calculated.
Minimum Distance
Minimum required clearance distance between two parts.
Severity
An integer number from 1 to N that indicates the relative severity of the interferences, from the highest severity (1), to the lowest, as follows:
A severity of 1 indicates the interference with the biggest volume.
As the volumes of the interferences decrease, the values of the integers increase to the Interference with the smallest volume that has a value of K.
Interferences with no calculated volume have a value of K+1.
Unavailable is displayed in the Volume column.
All cases of Contact have a value of K+2.
The Volume column is empty.
The Clearance with the smallest Minimum Distance has a value of K+3, the next K+4, and so on, up to the Clearance with the largest Minimum Distance.

Any number of interferences can have the same Severity value. This occurs if the interference volumes are identical or if they are not calculated.
If the interference volumes are not calculated, Unavailable is displayed in the Volume column. This occurs if Approximate mode is set to not calculate volumes and in some cases of Accurate mode or Approximate mode set to calculate volumes.
Interferences calculated before Creo View 4.0 M010 maintain old severity values, but Unavailable is displayed instead of N/A.
To filter Volume and Severity in the Customize table by Unavailable, set Volume mm² and Severity to Less than0.
User Severity
A user-defined interval value that could be used to determines task priority within the team. You can view and manually edit User Severity for one or more selected interferences. You can also sort and filter interferences according to the severity assigned to them
Description
A description of the IDD.
Created
The time and date that interference was created.
Last Detected
The date and time that this interference was last detected. For a new interference this field shows the same values as in Created.

Assignee
The team member who is responsible for the activity.
State
Identifies the current life cycle state of the object.
Common Parent Level
Provides an indication of how deeply nested an interference is. The deeper the common parent level, the more easily the interference is resolved.
