Creating Harm Hazards
To add a harm hazard, you must have permission to create harm hazard objects in your quality context. This permission is assigned to the Quality System Manager and Reliability Engineer roles out-of-the-box.
*
You can have read-only permissions for the context, but still have permission to create harm hazard objects. In this case, you can see the harm hazard name, but the context appears as (Secured Information) and you cannot see the actual name of the context.
To create a harm hazard, do the following:
1. In your quality context, click Harm Hazards.
2. Click the create harm hazards icon .
3. In the Create Harm Hazards window, complete the following fields:
Field
Description
Name
Required. Enter a name for the harm hazard.
Number
The system automatically generates a number for the harm hazard. The number provides another way for users to search for a harm hazard.
Tags
Select a tag for the harm hazard. Click the plus sign to add more than one tag to the harm hazard.
Use tags to group harm hazards for easier filtering and searching.
To create additional tags for harm hazards, users with the correct permissions can add them as an enumerated list. For more information, see Enumerated Value List Constraints.
4. Click OK.
