Viewing Object Information in Windchill

Once designs are checked in, their associated design objects are visible through the folders menu in the Windchill commonspace. The commonspace is an area in Windchill that is accessible to all users with proper permissions, such as project stakeholders from other organizations within your company.

To view information about a design object from the Windchill commonspace:

1. Open Windchill Workgroup Manager and click the Windchill Cabinets

icon located at the top of the Navigation pane on the left side.

The design appears in the commonspace.

2. Click the information icon

located in the row of a specific design object to display an information page about that object.

There are object actions available on the actions menu within the Windchill commonspace that must not be used with Cadence Team Design Option. For more information, see Actions to Avoid. It is recommended that only Windchill actions available from the Cadence Team Design Option dashboard be used.
