Working with Action Items in Microsoft Excel

Actions on the Tasks table allow you to work with Windchill action items in Microsoft Excel. Specifically, they allow you to perform the following tasks:

• Download Template—Download a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet formatted for creating action items in a single file. You can later import this file into Windchill.

• Download Action Items to Excel for Editing—Download action item data and edit it offline in an Excel spreadsheet.

• Import Action Items—Import new or updated action items into Windchill.

• Export Action Items—Download action item data for use outside Windchill. For example, to be printed, included in an email message, or embedded in a report.

Microsoft Excel versions 2000 and earlier are not supported.
