You can only edit an action item if you are the context manager, action item creator, or assignee. Update privileges for some fields might be limited by your administrator.

Action Item Name
|
Enter a name for the action item. Enter up to 200 characters.

Assignee
|
The user responsible for the action item work.
Select a project member from the drop-down menu. If you leave this field blank, the action item is assigned to you by default.
If you assign the action item to someone other than yourself, you are still able to update the action item.

Description
|
Enter a brief description of the action item. Enter up to 4,000 characters.
|
Due Date
|
The date on which the action item must be completed. Click the calendar icon to select a specific date from the calendar and select a specific time using the drop-down menu. The deadline is displayed in red when it has passed. |
Priority
|
Priority levels are available from the drop-down menu.
|
Category
|
A business category that best describes the action item. This information can be used to search for action items.
|
State
|
The state of the action item:
• Open
• Assigned
• In Work
• Resolved
• Obsolete
|
Done
|
The percentage of work that has been completed on the action item.
|
Status
Status Description
|
Select the status of the action item:
• Green—Indicates that there are no risks or obstacles; ready to proceed.
• Yellow—Indicates caution; check before proceeding.
• Red—Indicates an alert of high risk; do not proceed.
• Unavailable—The status is not set.
Optionally, enter a brief explanation for the status setting in the Status Description field.

Estimated Start
|
The date and time at which the action item work is scheduled to begin.

Estimated Finish
|
The date and time at which the action item work is scheduled to be completed.

Actual Start
|
The date and time at which the action item work begins.
|
Actual Finish
|
The date and time at which the action item work is completed.

Resolution
|
Enter a brief description of the resolution for the action item.
