Editing a Context Reference
*
Your ability to create and modify objects within the Network table depends on the access control rules set at your site. For more information, see Accessing Data.
Use the following procedure to edit an existing context reference:
1. Select Edit Context Reference from the right-click actions menu of a context reference in the Network table.
2. From the Edit Context Reference window, modify the following fields:
Field
Description
Context
Click the find icon to search for the context you want to reference instead. For more information, see Finding a Context.
Description
Edit or enter a brief description of the context reference.
Relation
Use the drop-down menu to indicate the relationship of the context you are referencing to the current context in the network. The types of relationships you can specify vary depending on the solutions you have installed at your site and any customizations made by your site administrators. Basic relationship types include:
Related
—The referenced context is related to, but not dependent on, the context.
Dependent—The referenced context contains data that is dependent on the context but is not considered a child context.
Child—The referenced context is a lower-level context that contains information derived from or dependent upon the context.
Parent—The context is a child to the referenced context.
*
You cannot use this action to change the network structure folder in which the context reference is located. To change the location of a context reference in the network structure, see Moving a Context Reference.
