Verify the Windchill Federated Links
The Allegro Design Workbench integration with Windchill requires a specially named version of Federated Link that can have attributes attached to it. The name of the subtype (business object) extension is built by the Create-Links webject in the following manner:
“WCTYPE|” + FederatedLink.class.getName() + “|com.ptc.federation.” + linkClassName.
For a federated WTPartDescribe link, the subtype name is: WCTYPE|wt.federation.FederatedLink|com.ptc.federation.wt.part.WTPartDescribeLink
This subtype federated link ECADLibSync is created under the Federated Link section of the Type and Attribute Management utility, and must contain two WTPartDescribeLink attributes: ECADLibrarySyncDirection and LPUpdatedOn.
| These features are critical to the functioning of the adapter. It is therefore strongly recommended that you verify their creation. |
To verify that the proper Federated Links have been created:
1. Log in to the WindchillType and Attribute Management utility.
2. In Manage Types in the navigation panel at left, click the plus sign next to the Federated Link to expand it.
3. Verify that a federated link called ECADLibSyncLink exists. Click the link.
4. In the Attributes tab, verify that the attributes ECADLibrarySyncDirection and LPUpdatedOn exist.
To verify that the proper reusable attributes have been created:
1. While still in the WindchillType and Attribute Management utility, click the Manage Reusable Attributes in the navigation pane.
2. In addition to the attributes mentioned in ECADLibrarySyncDirection and LPUpdatedOn, verify that the two other attributes LPClassification and LPMasterOid exist.
