Check Out
Initiates the check-out process for the selected part.
Check In
Initiates the check-in process for the selected part.
Undo Check Out
Cancels the checkout of the selected part, and any changes are lost.
> |
Opens the Insert New window, so you can add an existing part as a child of the selected part.
> |
Opens the Insert New window, so you can create and add a new part.
> |
Opens the Insert New window, so you can add a recently created part as a child of the selected part.
> |
Opens theInsert New window, so you can replace the selected part with a part that you search for in the database.
> |
Opens the Insert New window, so you can replace the selected part with a part that has been created in this session.
> |
Opens a search window, so you can replace the selected part with one of it’s alternates or substitutes.
> |
Adds the copied part and its upstream structure, and creates new equivalence links between the downstream BOM and the upstream BOM.
Remove
Removes the selected part from the structure.
Remove Selected Assembly and Move Up Child Parts
Removes all sub-assemblies from the selected assembly. Removing all sub-assemblies removes all instances of the assembly that appear in the selected explorer, and promotes all child parts to the next highest assembly.
Edit Common Attributes
Opens the Edit Common Attributes window, which can be used to change the name of a manufacturing object, it's category, or it's unit representation (for example, Each, or As Needed).
Rename
Opens the Rename window so you can rename the selected part. The name change applies to all versions of the part, not just the selected version.
New Downstream View
Allows you to create a downstream part iteration with the a view that is downstream to the selected upstream part. Associative BOM links are also created.
New Downstream Part Number
Opens the Add Children From Upstream BOM panel, so that you can create a downstream part that is equivalent to the upstream part that it is being created from. For more information, see Transforming an eBOM into an mBOM.
New Branch
Opens the New Branch window so you can create a new branch of iterations for a specific part, by defining a new view (peer or descendant), a new BOM Type, or new alternate branch.
New Alternate BOM
Opens the New Alternate BOM window so you can create a New Alternate Branch for the selected part.
Extend BOM Equivalence
Allows you to extend the equivalent link properties, such as related parts and views, of the selected assembly to the assembly selected in the downstream view. For more information see Extending BOM Equivalences.
Extend BOM Equivalence Multiple
Allows you to search for downstream assemblies to which you can extend the equivalent link properties, such as related parts and views, of the assembly selected in the downstream view. For more information see Extending BOM Equivalences.
Update Alternate BOM Number
Opens the Update Alternate BOM Number window so you can make modifications to an alternate branch.
New One-off Version
Creates a new one-off version of the selected object. A one-off version is a branch version taken from any version within the normal version sequence (for example, A, B, C). A one-off version is labeled with the version from which it is created, followed by a dash and number, such as B-1.
A one-off version is used to record a unique modification to a released design. It is intended to support the modification of objects that have been recorded in a configuration, used to create an instance, and then modified. The fact that an object has been altered must be recorded in the system, so a one-off version of the altered object is created.
Duplicate
Saves the selected part as a new part with a new downstream part number.
Assign Item Choices
View the choices that have been assigned to the item. Excluded choices appear with a negative symbol in front of them. In Product Structure Explorer draft mode newly added, deleted, included or excluded choices are marked up.
Delete Part
Deletes the selected part.
Set State
Opens the Set State window, so you can change the state of the selected object.
Promote
Opens the New Promotion Request window, so you can promote the selected object.
> |
Opens the Add to Baseline window, so you can add the selected part to a new or existing baseline.
> |
Opens the Baseline List window, so you can remove the selected part from an existing baseline.
Split Usage Link
Opens the Usage Splitting window, which allows you to define the quantity of a part that is to be kept on the current usage, and the quantity of a part that is to be made available for other uses.
Revert to Process Plan Defaults
Reverts to the operation part allocation analysis criteria defined in the Preferences window (All, None, Custom).
Update Positioning
If occurrence links exist, updates the structural position of a downstream part relative to its equivalent upstream part, if the upstream part has been moved to a new position in the assembly.
Update Usage Options
Processes downstream usages for which at least one valid occurrence link can be found to an upstream BOM.
Update Equivalent Part
Updates a part's equivalent link to the latest equivalent part's version. If the updated downstream part is an assembly, the positioning of the child parts is also updated.
Show Equivalent Part History
Displays the downstream equivalence history of the selected part.
Highlight Equivalent Part
Displays in the structure where the equivalent part of the selected part is located.
Revise with Link
Creates a new version of a part. If associated CAD documents exist, you have the option to also create new versions of those documents.
If the new revision is not associated with the latest revision of the equivalent upstream part, you will need to update the equivalence link. See Revising with Links

Save Representation
Create a representation for an Windchill MPMLink objects. Representations are used as illustrations in Work Instructions.
Representations
Launches the Windchill PDMLink HTML Representations page, which lists all representations for the selected object.
