Enterprise Data

There are two kinds of enterprise data that are managed by the system: common enterprise data (CED) and view-specific enterprise data (VSED). Common enterprise data consists of attributes and related objects that are shared across all revisions and iterations of a particular master. View-specific enterprise data consists of attributes and related objects that are shared across all revisions and iterations of a particular view.

The enterprise data Information page is a collection point for information related to the enterprise data. You access this page by clicking the object’s information icon

Information pages contain a list of applicable actions in an Actions menu located in the upper left corner of the page. See Common Actions for a list of actions available for many objects in Windchill. The availability of these actions depends on the status of the enterprise data, as well as your access to it. For more information about status indicators, see Object Status.

The following tabs are viewable on the enterprise data Information page. You can customize the tabs that appear on each object Information page to display the information most useful to you. For more information, see Customizing Information Page Tabs.

Administrators have the ability to modify the tabs that are viewable to you.

Tab	Description
Details	The Details tab displays the attributes of an object. See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill. The following attributes are of particular interest for this object. • Attributes • System
History	The History tab allows you to view the entire process of the object through its workflow states. From this tab you can view the following tables: • Timeline The Timeline History table displays object history information in a graphical format. Click the colored indicator icon next to an event to view more detailed information for it. • Version History Lists all previous iterations and revisions of the object. See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill.
Related Objects	The Related Objects tab allows you to view, add, change, or remove related document and part associations. From this tab you can view the following related tables: • Described By Documents • References Documents • CAD/Dynamic Documents • Parts See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill.

By default there is a data utility configured for the Version attribute in both common enterprise data and view specific enterprise data. However, if you create a new layout for this data, adding your own Version attributes, then you must assign a data utility ID to ensure that the proper values appear in the Manufacturing Associative Product Structure Browser. If you do not, then your customized Version attribute is shown as un-assignable.
