Create a Disposition Plan
If you are assigned to the nonconformance dispositioner role, use the following procedure to describe what type of disposition your organization is planning to carry out, and which items are to be disposed in which manner:
1. On your Home page, click the name of the nonconformance you would like to review from the My Tasks table.
*
You can also select Enter Disposition Plan details from the right-click actions menu.
2. On the task page, click Enter Disposition Plan details.
3. In the Create Disposition Plan window, under Set Attributes, determine whether the Material Review Board should review the Disposition Plan for the nonconformance.
4. Click Next.
5. Under Items Involved, two tables appear:
Remaining to Disposition: Any affected object or other item that has a value in the Quantity field, and therefore has not been entirely dispositioned appears in this table.
Dispositioned Items: All affected objects and other items that have had some quantity dispositioned appear here. The Dispositioned Items table is sorted by start date.
To disposition a certain quantity of an affected object or other item, click the add icon . For more information, see Add a Disposition
6. When you have dispositioned all of the affected objects and other items, click Finish.
Depending on whether you chose to send the nonconformance to the Material Review Board or not, the nonconformance continues to another workflow state.
*
If you need to redisposition an affected object or other item in the nonconformance, a Quality Manager can do so by going to the nonconformance action’s information page, choosing Actions > Set State and choosing Redisposition from the States menu. A redisposition task is then assigned to change the disposition action.
