Applying the Cognos Fix Pack for Windchill Business Reporting
After completing your installation of Windchill with Windchill Business Reporting, you must apply the Cognos 10.2.2 Fix Pack 2:

If you have upgraded from a previous release of Windchill with Windchill Business Reporting, complete only steps 1 through 13. Refer to the “Setting Up the Target System for Upgrade” section of the Windchill Upgrade Guide.

Complete the following steps:
1. Stop the Cognos service and Windchill (server manager, method server, PTC HTTP Server).
2. Take a backup of the following directories:
◦ <WBR_HOME>\bin
◦ <WBR_HOME>\reportstyles
◦ <WBR_HOME>\templates
◦ <WBR_HOME>\webcontent
where <WBR_HOME> is the installed location of Windchill Business Reporting.
3. Download the appropriate fix pack for your platform from the IBM website.
4. Extract the fix pack.
◦ To extract the fix pack on Unix platforms:
1. Change to the directory where you have downloaded the fix pack.
2. Enter the following command: gunzip <filename>.tar.gz | tar xvf-where <filename> is the name of the downloaded fix pack file.
◦ To extract the fix pack on Windows platforms, use a utility such as WinZip or WinRAR.
5. In the extracted content, switch to the directory having the name of the fix pack platform. The directory name is unique for each platform.
6. Launch the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence Server Updates utility:
◦ On a Unix platform, enter the following command: ./issetup
◦ On a Windows platform, double-click issetup.exe.
7. On the Welcome screen, select a language and click Next.
8. On the IBM License Agreement screen, accept the license agreement, and click Next.
9. On the Installation Location screen, confirm that the installation directory field is your Reporting folder, and click Next.
10. On the Summary screen, review the summary information and click Next.
11. Click Next to start the fix pack installation.
12. After the fix pack installation finishes, extract the <WBR_HOME>\CognosCustomization.zip file, and overwrite the extracted content to the respective folders in <WBR_HOME>.
13. Start the Cognos service, Windchill method server, and PTC HTTP Server.
14. For new installations of Windchill Business Reporting only, run the following command from a Windchill shell:
ant -f <Windchill>/installer/wnc/wbr_actions.xml
where <Windchill> is the installed location of your Windchill solution. This updates the data model and loads any updates for your Windchill Business Reporting reports.
Repeat these steps on each machine where a Windchill Business Reporting component is installed.
