About Note Templates
A note template provides a starting point for creating a note from standardized text that can be associated to parts. Note templates can be modified and attachments can be associated to communicate important information about a part.
Note templates have the following characteristics:
• Note templates can be created in the context of a product, project, library, organization, or site.
• Note templates are identified by a name and number and are searchable by type and attributes, or by using the full text search through the PDMLink search clients.
• Note templates can be revised and the resulting history will be available from the notes information page. Also, when a note template is edited, the resulting template becomes a new iteration.
