Web browsers are stopping support for plug-ins; for example, Google Chrome has stopped support for plug-ins and Mozilla Firefox stops support at the end of 2016. The new mechanism for launching the full Creo View client from Windchill removes the need for plug-ins. As a result, you can use Creo View from Windchill in browsers that do not support plug-ins.

This new mechanism does not impact the embedded use of Creo View in web pages, only the launch of the full client.
