You can now rename single or multiple CAD documents and Windchill parts such that each object, and all related objects, are renamed using the same base number.

The base number is calculated using a default or a user-defined expression stored in the server-side preference Operation > General > Base Number Regular Expression. This feature is supported for all Windchill 11.0 workgroup managers as well as the server commonspace. Rename conflicts regarding non-compliance of naming conventions as set by a Windchill Administrator are tracked and reported in the Event Manager. All objects involved in the rename must reside on the same server and be in a checked-in state.
