The capability to filter BOMs by identifying specific nodes in the structure is critical for all manufacturing activities supported by Windchill MPMLink, and is now supported by Windchill MPMLink.
Additional Details
In order to efficiently define their work (for example. process plans, work instructions, operations), manufacturing engineers need the ability to focus this work context in any given Windchill MPMLink BOM. Many manufactured products have large and complex BOMs and it is therefore of great importance to be able to restrict the work context to specific BOM nodes (or 3D components). You can now:
• Populate a path filter in usage mode
• Populate a path filter in occurrence mode
• Display path filters in all locations where a product filter is displayed
• Set a path filter in all Windchill MPMLink filters where the plant is displayed
• Define the filter criteria when nodes ares selected either in tree or in 3D
• Display in the tree only the filtered paths (including the children of them if they exist)
• Define a path filter in conjunction with other filters
• Save path filter for later reuse
• Add or remove new paths in the filter
• Enable or disable the path filter
