The Windchill Workgroup Manager installer user interface has been enhanced with better CAD application and version selections.
Additional Details
With the enhanced Windchill Workgroup Manager installer, a user can perform the following actions:
• Allow upgrades from an older version to the current version without requiring a complete uninstallation; for example, a user can:
◦ Upgrade from Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 M010 to Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 M020 without uninstalling Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 M010.
◦ Upgrade from Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 M010 (RTM or its old CPS) to newer Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 M010 CPS.
• Modify or update an existing installation by adding adapters without requiring a complete uninstallation; for example, if Windchill Workgroup Manager is already installed with AutoCAD 2015 adapter, a user can update the installation to add NX 9.
• Install Windchill File System only if it is required. When either NX, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks is selected, Windchill File System is automatically installed.
• Specify the locations for install logs.
For Windchill Workgroup Manager silent installation, a user can specify the MCAD or ECAD adapter XML files for silent installation; for example, a user can specify mcad_nx.p.xml and ecad_cadence.p.xml to silently install the NX and Cadence adapters, respectively, with Windchill Workgroup Manager.
