Attribute Filter for a Parts List

You can filter parts list content based on the value of attributes assigned to the items in the parts list.

You can use the Edit Filter window to create a filter for a parts list. A new tab, Attribute Filter, has been added to the window, in which you can create an Attribute Query Expression. Select an object type and choose an attribute for that object type that you want to use as a filter criterion. Specify the required attribute value to complete the Attribute Query Expression. A parts list item must be of the selected object type and display the specified attribute value to be included when the parts list is filtered.

Both default attributes and soft or modeled attributes can be listed in the window for selection for an object type.

You can use the Service Parts Excluded Part and Dynamic Document Subtypes preference to restrict the list of object types provided for selection.
