CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE: Support for CAD Document Auto-numbering

CAD document auto-numbering is now supported for Windchill Workgroup Manager for CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE. With auto-numbering enabled, new 3D Parts, Physical Assemblies, or Drawings have a unique number generated in Windchill for the document title. When the CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE document is uploaded, this number can be used for the Windchill document File Name, Number, or Name to ensure uniqueness in Windchill.
Additional Details
• With auto-numbering disabled, the title of CAD documents created from new design objects is set based on the native CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE configuration setting.
• You are allowed to modify the title of the CAD document.
• The CAD document number is derived from the CAD document title.
• A dedicated CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE parameter can be used to determine the CAD document title and number used for initial check in.
• When the CAD document title is descriptive, the CAD document number can be automatically generated by Windchill to avoid a uniqueness conflict.
