CAD Data Management: New Top Level Objects List View for Windchill Workspaces
Product: Windchill, All Windchill Workgroup Managers, Creo
Release: 11.0 M020
Benefit
Sometimes there are many objects listed in a Windchill workspace table, making it difficult to identify the object representing the parent of a large assembly. A new “top level objects list” view is now available in the Windchill workspace that filters out child objects and displays only top level assembly and single part objects in the workspace table.
Additional Details
As with the Featured objects list view, the intent of the Top level objects list view is to reduce the number of objects displayed in the workspace when working with very large data sets while improving workspace refresh performance.
A top-level object has the following characteristics:
Is a CAD document.
Does not have a member link in the workspace.
Is not a family table.
You can also manually add a column to your workspace table to identify objects that are “top level.”
This feature is supported in the following user interfaces:
All Windchill Workgroup Manager embedded browsers.
The Windchill standalone browser.
