About the PTC View and Print Only License Group
The PTC View and Print Only License group is available out of the box to manage your users for whom a PTC View and Print Only License was purchased. The PTC View and Print Only License represents limited usage of your Windchill solution. This group is a member of the PTC View and Print Only License profile, which, along with policy access control rules set on this group, provides visibility settings out-of-the-box that reflect the usage granted through the license.
Policy access control permissions for this group are set in the / (root) domain. Group members are absolutely denied all permissions other than Read and Download for WTObject. PTC recommends maintaining these rules to ensure license compliance.
Group membership is viewable using the
Participant Administration utility. As with other user-defined groups, this group can contain users or other groups. A flat list of all users in the group is available from the
View and Print Only Licenses tab of the > > utility. This utility also provides a count of all group members. For more information, see
