Windchill+ Readiness Diagnostic Extension
Windchill+ Readiness Diagnostic Extension
The Windchill+ Readiness Diagnostic Extension (WReadE) is a standalone utility that can be used to perform an assessment of your Windchill environment to determine readiness of the environment to move to Windchill+. The extension expands Windchill Performance Advisor and identifies the following details relevant for Windchill+ readiness assessment — Windchill version, modules and configuration, and customizations applied to the out-of-the-box Windchill server.
On execution, the Windchill+ Readiness Diagnostic Extension generates XML reports in ZIP format that are sent to PTC through Windchill Performance Advisor. The reports can also be uploaded manually on the support portal.
The subsequent topics explain the workflow required to run the WReadE and launch the Windchill+ Readiness Assessment on Windchill Performance Advisor.

Pre-requisites
Following are the prerequisites for the system where you plan to execute the Windchill+ Readiness Diagnostic Extension:
1.5 GB RAM — As there are a lot of I/O operations during the execution of Windchill+ Readiness Diagnostic Extension, there will be a spike in the CPU usage.
The method servers must be up and running.
Ensure Windchill Performance Advisor Enablement— Ensure that the environment can communicate with the PTC Windchill Performance Advisor. If the communication is not through, then you will not be able to send the data for assessment to PTC automatically. For the communication to work, ensure that the outbound connection is enabled on port 443.
*
It is strongly recommended to enable Windchill Performance Advisor to ease the overall data collection process. If you can’t enable Windchill Performance Advisor or automatic data sending fails, refer to Manual Upload Portal.
