The following sections list and describe the new features and the issues fixed in the releases of the ThingWorx Edge ADO Service, in chronological order from the current release to the oldest release.

ADO Service Version 5.7.3

ADO client — unable to use parameter substitution in SQL query or command when ConnectionType is MSSql
Cause: The MSSql driver uses a different parameter format than ADO. It requires [AT]paramname instead.
This issue is fixed in this release.

Error communicating with ThingWorx platform from ADO Service.
Building the ADO Service with the latest version of the .NET SDK resolved this issue. The ADO Service has been tested in Windows 7 and Windows r2016 and this problem does not occur. Note that Visual Studio 2012 runtime must be installed for the ADO Service to work on Windows r2016.

Non-SSL support has been added to the ADO Service.
This release also includes updates/fixes that were made for the C SDK 1.3.1 and the .NET SDK 5.6.1. See the release notes for the .NET SDK, version 5.6.1 and for the C SDK, version 1.3.1.

New Features and Issues Fixed
The service now supports the encryption of passwords in the configuration file.
The service now supports the validation of both SSL/TLS client and server certificates.
The service now supports the validation of the fields in X.509 certificates.
Many new settings are available in the configuration file.
Connections can be made through proxy servers.
Documentation has been updated.
This release includes general bug fixes that were made for the C SDK. See the release notes for the C SDK, version 1.3.0.
