Get Effectivity
When you process an object such as a Bill of Material (BOM) item using a change number for the first time, the system generates a new processing status such as change state. These changes have a time related validity, which means that a change state's validity extends from its valid from date to immediately before the valid-from date of the following changed state.
Use this action to make a change state's validity dependent on other criteria, such as serial number or customer.

Using the Get Effectivity Action
To use this action in your workflow, connect it to ThingWorx Flow. To create a flow, do the following:
1. Drag the Get Effectivity action under the SAP connector to the canvas, place the pointer on the action, and then click or double-click the action. The Get Effectivity action window opens.
2. Edit the label name, if needed. By default, the label name is same as the action name.
3. To add a connection, refer to the section Adding a SAP Connection in the SAP connector topic.
4. In the Material ID field, enter minimum 3 characters to search for the material id.
5. Select an available Plant for the provided material id to find where the BOMs are used for a plant.
Select Any to retrieve the effectivity from any plant for given material id.
6. Select an available Bill Of Material where the material is used.
If you select Any plant, the plant information appears in the format that follows: BOM [plant]. Select the Bill Of Material from the plant that you need to retrieve the effectivity.
7. Click Done.
