Create Issue
Use this action to create a new issue in your JIRA account.
Using the Create Issue Action
To use this action in your workflow, connect it to ThingWorx Flow. To connect to the flow, do the following:
1. Drag the Create Issue action under the JIRA connector to the canvas, place the pointer on the action, and then click or double-click the action. The Create Issue action window opens.
2. Edit the label name, if needed. By default, the label name is same as the action name.
3. To add an authorization, refer to the section Authorize JIRA in the JIRA connector topic.

If you previously added an authorization for JIRA, select an authorization.
4. In the Project Key field, select or specify the project key.
5. In the Issue Type field, select an issue type:
BugSelecting a Bug.
StorySelecting a Story.
TaskSelecting a Task.
Sub-taskSelecting a Sub-task.
Selecting a Bug
1. In the Issue Type field, select Bug.
2. In the Affects Version(s) section, click Add to enter the affected versions. Click Add to enter multiple affected versions.
3. In the Summary field, enter detailed summary of the issue.
4. Click + to view the additional fields, and then enter the details that follow:
Description—Issue description
Priority—The priority of the bug.
Reporter—Select or specify the name of the user who reports the issue.
Assignee—Select or specify name of the user to whom the issue is assigned.
Labels—Click Add, and then enter the label for the issue. Click Add to enter multiple labels.
Fix Version(s)—Click Add, and then select or specify the fix version. Click Add to enter multiple fix versions.
Additional Parameters—Click Add, and then enter the following details:
Name—Name of the parameter to add.
Value—Value for the parameter.
Click Add to enter multiple additional parameters.
5. Click Done.
Selecting a Story
1. In the Issue Type field, select Story.
2. In the Summary field, enter the detailed summary of the issue.
3. Click + to view the additional fields, and the enter the details that follow:
Description—Story description
Priority—The priority of the story.
Reporter—Select or specify the name of the user who reports the story.
Assignee—Select or specify the name of the user to whom the story is assigned.
Labels—Click Add, and then enter the label for the issue. Click Add to enter multiple labels.
Fix Version(s)—Click Add, and then select or specify the fix version. Click Add to enter multiple fix versions.
Additional Parameters—Click Add, and then enter the details that follow:
Name—Name of the parameter to add.
Value—Value for the parameter.
Click Add to enter multiple additional parameters.
4. Click Done.
Selecting a Task
1. In the Issue Type field, select Task.
2. In the Summary field, enter the detailed summary of the task.
3. Click + to view the additional fields, and then enter the details that follow:
Description—Task description
Priority—The priority of the task.
Reporter—Select or specify the name of the user who reports the task.
Assignee—Select or specify name of the user to whom the task is assigned.
Labels—Click Add, and then enter the label for the task. Click Add to enter multiple labels.
Fix Version(s)—Click Add, and then select or specify a fix version. Click Add to enter multiple fix versions.
Additional Parameters—Click Add, and then enter following details:
Name—Name of the parameter to add.
Value—Value for the parameter.
Click Add to enter multiple additional parameters.
4. Click Done.
Selecting a Sub-task
1. In the Issue Type field, select a Sub-task.
2. In the Parent Issue field, enter the parent task key.
3. In the Summary field, enter the detailed summary of the subtask.
4. Click + to view the additional fields:
Description—Sub-task description
Priority—The priority of the subtask.
Reporter—Select or specify the user name who reports the issue.
Assignee—Select or specify name of the user to whom it is assigned.
Labels—Click Add, and then enter the label for the sub-task. Click Add to enter multiple labels.
Fix Version(s)—Click Add, and then select or specify a fix version. Click Add to enter multiple fix versions.
Additional Parameters—Click Add, and then enter following details:
Name—Name of the parameter to add.
Value—Value for the parameter.
Click Add to enter multiple additional parameters.
5. Click Done.
