Twitter is an online social networking service and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based messages of up to 140 characters, known as tweets. With the ThingWorx Twitter extension, you can send and search tweets from ThingWorx.
To use the Twitter extension, download and import the into ThingWorx. The package imports the following into ThingWorx:

Creating a Twitter Application
A Twitter account is required.
1. Go to Twitter APP Management Page and click Create New App. Follow the instructions to create the New App.
2. Set the Access Level (Read/Write).
3. Create an Access Token:
a. Go to the Keys and Access Tokens tab.
b. Click Create my Access Token.
4. Record the following configuration information (you will use this information later):
a. Consumer Key (API Key)
b. Consumer Secret (API Secret)
c. Access Token
d. Access Token Secret
5. Create a Thing in ThingWorx. In the Thing Template field, select Twitter.
6. Click Configuration.
7. In the Connection Settings field, fill in the following information obtained from the Twitter App Management page:
a. consumerKey
b. accessToken
c. accessTokenSecret
d. consumerSecret
