The topics in this section summarize the entities included in the Remote Access Extension (RAE). The sections highlight only those properties, services, and events that are added as part of the RAE, and do not include other default items provided in ThingWorx.

In addition to entities, the RAE includes the RAClientLinker widget and mashups for managing remote sessions that are intended for use with any provider. However, one or more of these mashups may need to be modified to support a provider-specific UI in the future. This type of extension is possible with the addition of new methods on the base RemoteAccessProvider Thing Shape to return a mashup name.
