are base Thing Templates in ThingWorx:

• GenericThing — The base Thing Template from which all Thing Templates in ThingWorx must extend.

• RemoteThing — The base Thing Template from which all remotely bound Things (edge devices, e.g.) in ThingWorx must extend.

• RemoteThingWithFileTransfer — The base Thing Template from which all remotely bound Things in ThingWorx must extend if they are transferring files to and from the platform.

The ACE Extension provides certain entities for Axeda Gateway and Axeda Connector Agents (eMessage) and other entities that are unique to the two different types of Agents.
