What is the Axeda Compatibility Package?
The Axeda Compatibility Package is designed to give Axeda customers the tools needed to switch from the Axeda Platform to the ThingWorx Platform. The package contains the following components:
ThingWorx eMessage Connector, which supports . allows your Axeda Gateway and Axeda Connector Agent assets to work with the ThingWorx Platform. :
The eMessage Connector provides components that translate messages from Axeda Agents to ThingWorx AlwaysOn messages and from ThingWorx AlwaysOn to Axeda Agent messages.
ThingWorx Connection Services Extension (CSE), which must be imported into ThingWorx Platform to support a centralized hub that manages event notifications between Connectors and the ThingWorx Platform.
ThingWorx Remote Access Extension (RAE), which must be imported into ThingWorx Platform to support remote sessions for Axeda entities.
ThingWorx Axeda Compatibility Extension (ACE), which must be imported into ThingWorx Platform to support Axeda entities.
ThingWorx Utilities Core and ThingWorx Software Content Management Extension (SCM), which provide support for creating, deploying, and managing packages for Axeda agent devices.

Since ThingWorx Utilities has been deprecated, it is strongly recommended that you use the Asset Advisor application in the ThingWorx Apps Extension, For release notes and details about installing, configuring, and using ThingWorx Apps, refer to the ThingWorx Apps 8.5 Help Center..
Each of these components serves a discreet purpose and together they form the Axeda Compatibility Package. When deployed assets contact a ThingWorx Connector, they register with the Connector and can then send messages to and receive messages from the ThingWorx Platform. End users can interact with their devices using ThingWorx Composer, ThingWorx Mashup Builder, ThingWorx Utilities, the ThingWorx SCM Extension, and ThingWorx Apps. such as Asset Advisor.
