Automatic Creation of Events
The Connected SLM Core Extension can facilitate the automatic creation of the following events:
ServiceMax Work Order
ServiceMax Case
ServiceMax Generic Alert
Automatic Creation of a ServiceMax Work Order
ThingWorx Utilities can generate an alert that triggers the creation of a Work Order in ServiceMax with relevant asset information. Typically, this type of alert is generated for an issue that requires a technician’s attention.
Automatic Creation of a ServiceMax Service Request
ThingWorx Utilities can generate an alert that triggers the creation of a Service Request in ServiceMax with relevant asset information. Typically, this type of alert is generated for an issue that requires a technician’s attention.
Automatic Creation of a ServiceMax Case
ThingWorx Utilities can generate an alert that triggers the creation of a Case in ServiceMax with relevant asset information. Typically, this type of alert is generated for an issue that requires the call center agent or support representative to evaluate it before deciding whether to create a Work Order.
Automatic Creation of a ServiceMax Generic Alert
ThingWorx Utilities can generate an alert that is a generic service alert in ServiceMax. A ServiceMax administrator can configure custom workflows based on the information received in the generic alert. For example, a workflow can be configured such that if the ThingWorx Utilities alert returns a value of “alert priority < 3”, then a Work Order would be created, and the first available technician would be dispatched automatically. The generic alert creation is part of Servigistics Extensions for ThingWorx, but the subsequent workflow requires configuration from a ServiceMax administrator.
