Sample Business Processes
Business processes are a feature of ThingWorx Utilities. In Servigistics Extensions for ThingWorx, business processes are used to provide system-to-system orchestration.
The ServiceMax Connector includes three methods to create events in ServiceMax. All three methods require a parameter of an AlertEvent. AlertEvents are generated by a ThingWorx alert rule on a property of a connected device. To tie a property’s AlertRule to a specific ServiceMax Connector method, a ThingWorx Utilities business process needs to be created.
The Connected SLM Accelerator Extension includes the following sample business processes that can be used as a starting point for further customization:
HeliumLow —creates a ServiceMax Work Order for a low coolant alert.
FaultCodeAlerts —creates ServiceMax Case.
VibrationIssue —creates a ServiceMax Case for excessive vibrations and initiates a Servigistics Knowledge and Diagnostics (SKD) session.
TemperatureAlert —creates a ServiceMax Service Request for a high temperature issue.
