Important Legal Information About Data Collection
PTC gathers some user data. Before you download and install ThingWorx Navigate, please read the sections below. Instructions for opting out of data collection follow.

User data collected by ThingWorx Navigate
• Obfuscated User ID, to analyze the number of unique users
• Name of each task accessed by each user
• Number of times each user accessed each task
• Role of each user
Opt out of data collection
After you install ThingWorx Navigate, you can opt out of data collection. Follow these steps:
1. Make sure ThingWorx Composer is not running, and then open the <ThingWorx home directory>/ThingWorxPlatform/platform-settings.json file in a text editor.
2. In the section PlatformSettingsConfig, under BasicSettings, add this line:

3. Save and close the JSON file.
4. Now, start ThingWorx Composer. Search for and open the SmartConnected Thing.
5. Click Services. The Services page opens.
6. Open the service SetLogReportingAvailable.
7. In the Inputs section, under setAvailable, select False.
8. Click Execute, and then click Close.
Your user data will not be collected and sent to PTC.
