To Use a Template
1. Click the PTC Mathcad Button . A list of file related commands opens.
2. Click New > From My Templates. The New from Template window opens the My Templates folder.
Alternatively, you can click one of these other options:
◦ New > From Shared Templates
◦ New > From Default Templates
◦ New > Recently Used Templates
3. Select a template from the open folder and click Open. A new worksheet is created based on the selected template.
4. Edit the template-based worksheet as needed.
The Open Worksheets Bar displays the temporary name of the worksheet as Untitled-N, as shown below.
5. Click Save As > Worksheet. The Save As window opens the default My Templates folder.
6. Specify a file name, browse to where you want to save your worksheet, and then click Save to save your worksheet as a .mcdx file.

The My Templates folder contains your private templates. Do not use it to store your worksheets.
