Viewing User Interface in Your Locale
The Integrity Lifecycle Manager administrator can enhance the end user experience in a global product development environment when multiple client locales are used. The administrator controls the locales available to the users to view locale specific information about the administrative object. You can view the localized labels (Display Name) and tooltips (Description) for item Fields, Types, States, and Test Result Fields.
You can create, edit and view Integrity Lifecycle Manager items using the interface of the desired locale. This works when your Integrity administrator configures and adds translations to the server to support using the client interface for the organization supported locales.
You can choose your work environment as follows:
Graphical User Interface:
You can select the desired locale from the PTC supported locales for the GUI while installing the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client. For information, see Installation Wizard.
When an Integrity Lifecycle Manager client GUI is launched the labels and tooltips are seen in the selected client locale. If the locale is not configured on the server then the labels and tooltips are seen in the server locale.
Web Interface:
To change the locale for the Workflows and Documents Web Interface, select it from the Language Selector list. It displays the list of locales available for the Workflows and Documents Web Interface. The updated view shows the labels (Display Name) and tooltips (Description) in the selected locale. If the locale is not configured on the server then the labels and tooltips are seen in the server locale. For information on Language Selector, see Workflows and Documents Web Interface.
