Converting User Objects to Admin Provided Objects
You may want to convert some user objects to admin provided objects to control access to them by users or so that they can be migrated. Access to admin provided objects is controlled by the CreateSharedAdmin permission. Admin provided objects are migrated using the Admin Migration Wizard (see “Testing Workflow With Admin Migration Wizard”).
Note the following about converting user objects to admin provided objects:
Converting a user object to an admin provided object is an irreversible operation based on the assumption that once converted, it is part of a solution and therefore should no longer be a privately controlled object that only the creator can manage.
The creator of the original user object does not retain any special rights to that object after it is converted to an admin provided object.
The creator of the original user object can still edit the admin provided object (if the server that hosts that object is not locked by an Admin Staging server) and delete the object if it is not referenced by other objects. These privileges are extended to Integrity Lifecycle Manager administrators.
You can migrate admin provided objects as part of the admin migration process.
Admin provided objects are subject to the lock when the production server is locked.
Admin provided objects display in the Integrity Lifecycle Manager administration client.
You can share admin provided objects with users who are not administrators to view or edit.
You can convert user objects - queries, charts, reports, and dashboards - to admin provided objects. When those objects are created from the Integrity Lifecycle Manager administration client, they are always admin provided objects. However, objects created from the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client can be converted to admin provided objects by editing them in the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client, and then selecting the Is Admin Provided option. For details on editing queries, charts, reports, and dashboards, see the User documentation.
Once the object was converted to an admin provided object, it appears in the corresponding subview in the Workflows and Documents view of the Integrity Lifecycle Manager administration client. For example, admin queries appear in the Queries view that is a subview of the Workflows and Documents view.

If you copy an admin provided object such as an admin query from the Integrity Lifecycle Manager administration client, the Is Admin Provided option is selected and cannot be changed. If you copy an admin provided object from the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client, the Is Admin Provided option is cleared by default in the copy. You must select that option for the copied object to be an admin provided object.
