Applying Server-side Service Packs
Service packs for the Integrity Lifecycle Manager server are self-contained and manually placed on the server by an administrator. Detailed instructions for installing server-side service packs are included with the Install Notes for each service pack.
Once placed on the server, the service pack is handled by the PatchServer utility. The PatchServer utility extracts the service pack and installs the server updates.
Typically, a client-side service pack is also bundled as part of the Integrity Lifecycle Manager service pack. Applying the server-side service pack automatically saves the client-side service pack to the correct server directory for distribution to connecting clients. For more information on client-side service packs, see “Distributing Client-side Service Packs”.

If you previously applied a HotFix to an Integrity Lifecycle Manager server, you do not need to remove the HotFix before applying a service pack. The service pack takes into account previously-released HotFixes.
