Applying Client-side Service Packs
Client-side service packs are distributed automatically by the patch distribution utility on the Integrity Lifecycle Manager server. In the event that there is a problem updating a client automatically, you can also apply the service pack manually to the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client.

If you are running more than one Integrity client installation on a single machine, in order to prevent the collision of downloaded service packs and HotFixes, you must explicitly set a distinct version of the MKS_IC_INSTANCE_DIR environment variable when an Integrity client 2009 or later release is in use.

This mechanism is not available in releases prior to Integrity 2009. In this case, ensure that you run only one Integrity client on a single host.
