General Policies
General configuration policies allow you to set up rules for the following:
enforced revision descriptions
enforced archive descriptions
storing text files by reference
deferred operations mandatory
restricting New Revision Available deltas to variant projects
forcing a check of the FetchRevision permission for member commands
making Sandbox members always writeable
adding symbolic link files as members
enabling checksum verification of member revisions
maximum size of text revisions or working files for store-by-delta archives and server-side differencing operations
enforced non-member inclusion file pattern filters
enforced non-member exclusion file pattern filters
forcing member additions as binary archives based on matching file patterns

This section describes the available global policy options and how you can modify them using the Integrity Lifecycle Manager administration client. The procedures described here also apply for editing any project policy sections that you create.
