To view an alert message in the GUI
CLI EQUIVALENT
im/si/aa viewserveralert, im/si/aa serveralerts
If you are working in the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client with the system tray or Web interface for workflows and documents, alert messages appear in a window at the bottom of the interface.
*
In the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client with system tray, you can view alert messages for all of the servers you are currently connected to by right-clicking the system tray icon and selecting Server Alerts.
The alert message displays who sent the message, the server it came from, when it was sent, and the message. Alert messages are plain text only and do not support rich content. If there is more than one message, the top of the alert message window indicates message # of #, with “previous” and “next” arrow buttons that cycle through the messages. To close the alert message window, click X or the ESC key.
Users working in the CLI, Web interface for configuration management, and Integrity Lifecycle Manager client without the system tray must manually check for alert messages from the CLI. For more information, see the CLI man pages.
*
To avoid manually checking alert messages from the command line, launch the alert messages dialog box from the command line by specifying -g or --gui and keep the dialog box open. The dialog box automatically refreshes to display new alert messages.
