Principals
Principals are the users and groups who have access to the functionality of Integrity Lifecycle Manager operations, or who are available to attribute access to. They are used to identify those who have access to particular permissions within an ACL. These can be specific users (“jsmith”) or a named group of users (“Project Managers”).
Users and groups must already be defined in your chosen authentication scheme. For example, if you are using NT authentication the users and groups must be defined as recognizable and authorized to access the machine hosting the Integrity Lifecycle Manager server.
