Adding Test Steps
Test Steps are used to identify the sequence of actions required to perform a Test Case. Test Steps are an optional feature of the workflow and their availability depends on how Integrity Lifecycle Manager is configured for your environment. The decision to use Test Steps can be made on the basis of an individual Test Case.
Test Steps can include the following types of information:
Steps for setting up a test.
A description of individual test procedures.
A statement of the expected test results.
The Integrity Lifecycle Manager client provides full functionality for creating, editing, cutting, copying, and pasting Test Step items. In the Document view, Integrity Lifecycle Manager allows you to create and edit Test Steps within the embedded Edit Item Details view. You can change the order of Test Steps that are included in a Test Case, and add or remove relationship flags on individual items. However, you cannot copy, cut, or paste across fields.
*
In the Integrity Lifecycle Manager client GUI, you can also work with Test Steps within the Edit Item Details view.
