Chart Dialog Box: Axes Tab
Field
Description
Horizontal Axis:Label Rotation
Horizontal displays label text horizontally.
Vertical Down (90 degrees) displays label text vertically at 90 degrees from horizontal axis.
Vertical Up (270 degrees) displays label text vertically at 270 degrees ending at horizontal axis.
45 Down (45 degrees) displays label text vertically at 45 degrees from horizontal axis.
45 Up (315 degrees) displays label text vertically at 45 degrees ending at horizontal axis.
Horizontal Axis:Orientation
Chart values on horizontal axis display starting from right or left.
Horizontal Axis:Show Gridlines
Grid lines on horizontal axis.
Horizontal Axis:Show Title
Title for horizontal axis.
Vertical Axis:Label Rotation
Horizontal displays label text horizontally.
Vertical Up (270 degrees) displays label text vertically at 270 degrees from bottom of vertical axis.
Vertical Axis:Orientation
Chart values on vertical axis up or down from horizontal axis.
Vertical Axis:Show Gridlines
Grid lines on vertical axis.
Vertical Axis:Show Title
Title for vertical axis.
Numeric Axes Attributes:Axis Label
Name for numeric axis as it displays in chart. Displays only for charts that use numeric field values and is specified when you create underlying aggregate or computed expression. If you do not specify axis name, default name is specified.
Numeric Axes Attributes:Min Range
For charts that use numeric field values, click Edit. In Min Range field, type minimum range to display numeric field values in chart. If you do not specify range, default range displays in chart.
Numeric Axes Attributes:Max Range
For charts that use numeric field values, click Edit. In Max Range field, type maximum range to display numeric field values in chart. If you do not specify range, default range displays in chart.
Numeric Axes Attributes:Tick Unit
For charts that use numeric field values, click Edit. In Tick Unit field, specify units that display on numeric axis. For example, if you specify minimum range of 0, maximum range of 100, and tick unit of 10, numeric axis displays 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, and so on up to 100.
