UPDATE_SCREEN refreshes the screen output with the current data
when the system is not operating in interactive mode.

While running recorder files, some operations may require the
updating of the underlying display data before subsequent actions
can be completed successfully. The UPDATE_SCREEN action is used
to refresh the display data.
